My
Health & Wellness
One of the first things you will notice about me is that I'm a health nut. I grew up primarily vegetarian and eventually became a strict vegan. I'm not just your regular vegan---I'm the kind who only likes buying fruits and vegetables that are 100% organic. I love to cook, but I dropped out of culinary school when they made us pick out a chicken on a field trip, kill it, and cook it for a cooking assignment. It took me a long time to forgive myself for that. I love animals. We have chickens in the backyard right now. I don't believe everyone has to become vegan just because I'm vegan, but I do encourage my friends and family to eat a plant based meal at least 1-2 times per week for the health benefits. Whatever one does to increase wellness is a step in the right direction.

Fitness
The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is workout in my home gym. I vary my workout between free weights, yoga, HIIT, step aerobics, jumping rope, running, or machines. Typically, I'll turn on my favorite country music, alternative rock, afrobeat, or amapiano YouTube playlist or I'll just exercise with my favorite YouTube fitness influencers. I rowed on the crew team in college and my first serious boyfriend got me into surfing. I have not surfed in years but do plan to get an electric surfboard. I love water sports of any kind and I still kayak.
Holistic Living
I highly value holistic living and natural products. I prefer clothing made of natural fibers like cotton or hemp and I store food in glass containers instead of plastic. If I find out a product is made of harmful chemicals, I won't want to keep it. I always prefer products made with green materials and I use naturopathic remedies whenever possible.
