My Construction Hobby

We started off with a drain cleaning company when I was in my early 20s. Then I founded Drain Dragon Plumbing and Radiant Rooter when my kids were growing up. Our family was in the plumbing and drain cleaning business for over 14 years. Although I primarily worked in the office (when I wasn't teaching), I often helped in the field as an apprentice plumber performing installations and repairs. I attended PHCC trade school in Anaheim, California for some formal training but my husband (at the time) was my primary instructor in the field. To this day, I enjoy working with my hands and collecting Milwaukee power tools and The Original Pink Box hand tools. To visit my Plumbing Portfolio, click Here.
I soldered these 1/2" Copper water lines and installed them. The picture to the left shows where I installed the hot and cold lines in the ceiling. The picture to the right shows the lines I installed in the wall. I used rabbit ear fasteners and/or struts to secure the pipes. This project was a re-model for a house in Yorba Linda.

I installed these PEX to Copper 1/2" water lines in this re-model in Newport Beach.

I dug most of this trench alone. I then backfilled the dirt and replaced the squares of grass after the installation passed inspection. This was for a re-model in Newport Beach.
I started learning carpentry two years ago at a local college and I always enjoy volunteering at Habitat for Humanity; however, I haven't had time to really build much lately. When my schedule allows, I'd like to build a rustic farmhouse coffee table.
